loose floral

Working on a new floral print based on a technique I learned in Helen Dealtry's workshop. First, I wet my paper down & dropped in colorful ink washes. Once it dried, I spontaneously painted the black negative space to define the drawing. It was both liberating & intimidating to work without a preliminary pencil drawing. Lots of happy accidents & not so happy accidents!
